Fran Brown is the new head coach for Syracuse, and he has added Nixon to lead the team's new offense. Nixon is 49 years old.
He's a Penn State alum and Pennsylvania native. Those aspects give Brown more connections to the Northeast market. With the transfer portal and recruiting climate, those relationships could be major for Nixon and the future of Syracuse.
Nixon has been coaching between college football and the NFL for over twenty years. He was only with the Giants for 2023. Prior to that stint, he held multiple positions with the Carolina Panthers from 2020-2022.
The Giants will be in search of a new RBs coach during this offseason.
