Here's how the Tua Tagovailoa news impacts the spread for the Bills-Dolphins game

If you're planning on wagering on the Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins game this weekend, you may want to double-check the point spread before you put any money down.

The Bills were previously favored by 10 points ahead of this weekend's Super Wild Card Weekend showdown against the visiting Dolphins, but that line has jumped to a whopping 13-point favorite at most major sportsbooks after starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was ruled out for the big game.

The massive spread is also one of the largest for a wild-card game -- not to mention for a Dolphins playoff game.

Miami lost five out of its last six games of the season, including a 32-29 loss to Buffalo on Dec. 17 when Tagovailoa completed 17-of-30 passes for 234 yards with two touchdowns.

The Dolphins will now have to roll with Skylar Thompson under center, who completed 20-of-31 passes for 152 yards and no touchdowns in the regular-season finale against the New York Jets. The Dolphins won that game 11-6.

Kickoff for Sunday's game at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo is set for 1 p.m. ET.
