The Miami Dolphins started their campaign pretty well winning consecutive three games in a row. They scored a record-breaking 70 points against the Broncos. Both Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill were at their absolute best. Both were looking like the MVP frontrunners.

However, things started changing in the later part of the league. The Dolphins started losing vital games. They failed to win over teams that had a winning record. It was only the Dallas Cowboys who they beat which was also in the dying seconds of the game.

What caused more problems was the team’s defense, it got brutally exposed against the likes of the Ravens and the Chiefs. The team struggled to find the right combination throughout the season.

Tua Tagovailoa’s inconsistency – a major cause for concern

Apart from the defensive errors, Tua Tagovailoa’s inconsistency also contributed to the failure of the team. After a fierce start, Tagovailoa lost his form and was subjected to a lot of interceptions. His passing inabilities also drew severe criticism from the analysts. A frustrated Tagovailoa even said that he was the worst footballer to play the game.

Nonetheless, the quarterback helped the team to score the only points in the game against the Chiefs in the playoffs. The offense choked, with Hill being limited in his efforts.

There are speculations that Tua Tagovailoa may exit the Dolphins after the season. Nonetheless, nothing has been officially announced. If Tagovailoa stays as a Dolphin, he will need to work harder to turn the table upside down.
