Jamie Collins ejected from first game as Lion after making contact with referee

Jamie Collins' debut as a member of the Detroit Lions didn't last long.

The former New England Patriot was ejected in the second quarter of Sunday's Week 1 matchup against the Chicago Bears for making contact with a referee.

It appears that Collins was trying to demonstrate that he had been blocked illegally by sticking his helmet into the referee's chest. That, quite frankly, wasn't the best course of action to get the message across as Matt Patricia's squad loses a key piece of the defense for the remainder of the game.

Collins signed a three-year, $30 million deal with Detroit during the offseason. He was added to provide some veteran depth and leadership.
