Jamie Collins has received a hefty fine for making contact with an official during the Detroit Lions' Week 1 matchup against the Chicago Bears.
According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Collins was fined $35,096 for sticking his helmet into referee Alex Kemp.

Collins was trying to demonstrate that he had been blocked illegally by sticking his helmet into Kemp's chest. That, quite frankly, wasn't the best course of action to get the message across as he was ejected for the gesture.
Collins signed a three-year, $30 million deal with Detroit during the offseason. He was added to provide some veteran depth and leadership.
