Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill recruits big-name free agent target

The Miami Dolphins have not been super active so far during 2024 NFL free agency. That being said, they will make some depth moves to finish out this week.

Superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill wants the Dolphins to sign WR Michael Thomas.

Of course, Thomas is formerly of the New Orleans Saints. From 2016-2019, Thomas was one of the most productive receivers in the NFL. Since then, he has struggle with availability.

He's played in just twenty games in the last four seasons. There is no doubt that he can be valuable when he plays, but availability is the best ability.

For Miami, adding Thomas could make a ton of sense, though. Hill and Jaylen Waddle are their top two receivers. Past them, the depth is unproven. WR3 is open for competition, and it may be the best opportunity for the former Saints receiver.

Thomas is surely going to be a cheap, veteran option for whoever signs him. Expect him to get a short-term, prove it type of contract with a team that feels like they are a contender.

The Dolphins fit that description as a team that is strapped for cap space, too. They are barely cap compliant at the moment and could make more moves to clear cap space in the coming days.
