NFL Week 2 player prop: Keenan Allen is going to have a day

I'm back with my absolute favorite wide receiver prop of the weekend. Ahead of Week 1, my darling was Chris Olave, and he popped for 112 yards. What if we just went ahead and ... targeted the same exact defense?

The Chargers WRs should smash, and Keenan Allen stands out

As this header suggests, any and all of the Los Angeles Chargers' WR room can have a big game. Assuming Mike Williams is out there, he seems poised for a long catch or three, and considering the Titans are one of the most generous teams to wide receiver touchdowns, you might look for a value bets there with someone like Josh Palmer or rookie Quentin Johnston.

I prefer Mr. Reliable, Keenan Allen.

Volume is king for me in wide receiver props, and Allen is the leader there. He saw nine targets in Week 1, and he averaged 8.9 targets/game last year, which included a few early exits.

Justin Herbert is going to throw him the football, and that's great news against this Tennessee defense. Last year, the Titans allowed the second-most receptions to WRs, and they followed that up with the fifth-highest number in Week 1.

Tennessee was also one of the worst overall secondaries in 2022, and against New Orleans last week, they allowed five 20+ yard passes and an average yards/pass attempt mark of 8.5, both of which ranked inside the top-four in the NFL.

Speaking of the Saints, all three wide receivers went over their yardage props, so the hope is that there's plenty to go around on Sunday if you wanted to opt for a receiver at a lower line.

I like Allen at his number. He caught six balls for 76 yards in Week 1, and has gone for 70+ in seven of his last 10 games.

Full-steam ahead for me.

Betting 1u: Keenan Allen over 68.5 receiving yards (-115 BetMGM)
