The Las Vegas Raiders have already dished out contract extensions to quarterback Derek Carr, wide receiver Hunter Renfrow and defensive end Maxx Crosby this offseason. It's been mentioned over the past month-plus that 2020 Pro Bowl tight end Darren Waller and 2021 Pro Bowl linebacker Denzel Perryman could be next in line for big pay days.
With Raiders training camp opening up to all players on Wednesday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and ESPN's Jeremy Fowler again brought up that notion.

TE Darren Waller reported to training camp today, per sources — which isn’t a surprise, but with two years of non-guaranteed money left on his contract, his deal is worth watching. No holdout necessary, though. Waller and Raiders appear all-in on 2022 offensive production.

Perryman addressed the issue as well.
#Raiders LB Denzel Perryman, on reports he is looking for a new contract: "I knew that was coming. That's why I'm sweating...My agent Ron Butler is handling that. I just want to play football."

Waller experienced an injury-ravaged 2021 season, missing six games, but prior to that, he posted back-to-back 1,000-yard receiving seasons in 2019 and 2020.
Perryman spent the first six seasons of his NFL career with the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers before signing a two-year contract with the Carolina Panthers in March 2021 and then being traded to Las Vegas in August of that year. The 29-year-old had his best season last year, earning his first Pro Bowl nod with career highs in tackles (team-high 154), passes defended (three) and fumble recoveries (two).
