Ravens' new weapon rated fastest rookie WR in 'Madden 24'

The Ravens' 2023 first-round pick has already received comparisons to great players such as Antonio Brown, DeSean Jackson and Stefon Diggs, and "Madden 24" clearly agrees with its rating of the rookie WR.

Zay Flowers received a speed rating of 93, which makes him the fastest rookie wide receiver in the game and faster than All-Pro wide receivers Justin Jefferson and Deebo Samuel.

The Boston College product ran a 4.42 second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, drawing comparisons to WR Tyler Lockett who ran a 4.4 second 40-yard dash, and it seems the sky is the limit for the 22-year-old.

Flowers had 78 catches for 1,077 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2022, and Pro Football Focus believes he is the "best pure separator in the draft class."

"Madden" has historically rated rookies low but that seems to be changing. Flowers' 77 overall rating is higher than wide receivers Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Drake London and George Pickens a year ago in a class that was viewed much more talented than this year's.

Flowers will still need to prove his rating every week, but it's likely he'll get several opportunities to do so.

Only time will tell how good Flowers is. If he is anything like his comparisons, Baltimore got itself a steal at pick No. 22.
