The Dallas Police Department considers Cowboys cornerback Kelvin Joseph a person of interest in a murder investigation, according to a report from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Last month, a 20-year-old man named Cameron Ray was shot and killed outside of a Dallas restaurant and bar. Police released a video that appeared to show Joseph among a group of people who fought with Ray and his friends earlier in the night.
According to the Star-Telegram's report, the Cowboys are currently investigating Joseph's involvement and the cornerback admitted to the team that he was at the scene, but said he was not involved in the shooting.
Dallas police, the Cowboys, and Joseph's agent were all unable to be reached by the Star-Telegram for comment.
Joseph, 21, was a second-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, but didn't play much after missing the first two months of the season due to a groin injury. He appeared in 10 regular season games with 164 total defensive snaps on the year. Joseph only contributed on special teams in the Cowboys' playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
