Doug Marrone gave a positive health update on Saints All-Pro wide receiver Michael Thomas with 77 WABC Sports in New York.

We love Michael, offensive line coach Doug Marrone said. "I have not spent a lot of time with Michael. I knew him when he was getting recruited. When I was at Syracuse, we actually started recruiting him. We know when he's healthy, [and] he plays, he's a game changer. We saw that last year in just a couple of games that he played. He's working hard to get himself back to where he needs to be."

Thomas ended his 2022 campaign abruptly due to a toe injury in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers. Last season, he caught the football 16 times, gaining 171 yards and scoring three touchdowns.

Since his record-breaking 2019 season, the All-Pro wideout injuries impacted his production with New Orleans. He won the 2019 AP Offensive Player of the Year Award by grabbing 149 receptions and breaking Marvin Harrison's single-season receptions record.

Thomas had limited participation with the Saints during their recent OTAs and minicamp workouts. Head coach Dennis Allen believes his receiver will be ready for training camp. By the looks of Thomas' workout video, he appears on track.
