Saints get rid of QB shortly after picking him up

The quarterback position has seen some movement from the New Orleans Saints during this offseason. Derek Carr has been the main constant, along with Jake Haener. The Saints also added Nathan Peterman and rookie Spencer Rattler to the room. Now, they have subtracted another veteran from the group. 

The Saints waived Kellen Mond on Wednesday, according to Nick Underhill. 

They also waived offensive lineman Tommy Kraemer.

The QB position for the Saints looks as follows currently:

Don't expect New Orleans to keep more than three of these between the active roster and practice squad once the seasons begins. 

Mond was not expected to be in the long-term plans for the Saints. Regardless, he was not in the building for very long. He will look to be a backup elsewhere.
