Stephen Ross reportedly turned down enormous offer for Dolphins

Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross reportedly turned down a massive offer for the franchise recently, along with several other valuable properties.

Ross was offered $10B for control of the Dolphins, ownership of Hard Rock Stadium and Miami’s F1 race, according to Safid Deen of USA Today. That sale price would have nearly matched the combined prices of the Washington Commanders and Denver Broncos, both of which have been sold since 2022.

Ross chose to decline the offer due to a desire to keep the assets in his family. Still, even though the price includes other assets, it is a clear demonstration that NFL franchise values will not be dropping anytime soon.

The 83-year-old Ross remains firmly involved in his NFL franchise. A few years ago, he was reportedly in on a plan that would have tried to lure Tom Brady to the team with the promise of an ownership share in the future. That operation forced the NFL to come down pretty hard on the organization.
