Three potential landing spots for former Bills Pro Bowl CB

Former All-Pro CB Tre'Davious White was one of several salary-cap casualties by the Bills on Wednesday, and while his past two seasons have been plagued by injuries, he could still be one of the best corners in the league when healthy.

That's why the 29-year-old should have several suitors lining up for his services this offseason. Here are three landing spots that make the most sense.

Detroit Lions

The Lions have built one of the better rosters in the NFL and proved exactly that after coming up just three points shy in the NFC Championship Game last season.

However, cornerback remains one of their biggest needs after allowing the sixth-most passing yards per game (247.4).

Detroit did re-sign CB Emmanuel Moseley to a one-year deal this offseason, but he is an unknown factor after missing all of 2023 with a torn ACL.

With $46.67 million still in cap space, per Over the Cap, adding White to the secondary makes a lot of sense.

Houston Texans

Head coach DeMeco Ryans is building something special in Houston and has a ton of money to continue building upon it this offseason with $70 million in cap space.

The Texans allowed the 10th-most passing yards per game (234.1), so it would be a good idea to use some of that money to add some more experience to their secondary this offseason.

CB Derek Stingley Jr., the No. 3 overall pick in 2022, seems to be the real deal, coming off a five-interception season.

However, Houston could use a veteran like White to play opposite Stingley Jr. and help him continue developing into one of the best corners in the league.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens don't have a ton of cap space heading into the new league year, but this feels like the type of move they make every year — adding a veteran whose best days are behind him but squeezing whatever good ball he has left in him.

Baltimore needs another corner to play opposite Marlon Humphrey with Ronald Darby and Rock Ya-Sin set to hit the open market next week.

Although White has a recent history of injuries, it would not be surprising if head coach John Harbaugh and his staff could help White return to form in 2024.
