Raiders wideout Davante Adams earned the early upper hand in a highly-anticipated one-on-one battle with Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
Even though Adams only had three catches for 71 yards in the first half, two were when he lined up against the heralded defensive back.
At the beginning of the first quarter, Adams caught a one-handed, 32-yard grab despite Ramsey's tight coverage. It set up a one-yard Josh Jacobs touchdown plunge.

Late in the second quarter, Adams blew past Ramsey and caught a 35-yard pass near the sideline.

Although Ramsey is a talented player who's made five Pro Bowls in eight seasons, stopping Adams is nearly impossible because he's been on a different level this season.
Over the Raiders' past three games, Adams has completely tore through opponents. He caught 22 receptions for 392 yards and scored four touchdowns.
Through 12 games, Adams is tied with Travis Kelce in receiving touchdowns (12) and is fourth in receiving yards (1,176). A sixth-straight trip to the Pro Bowl is a near-certainty.
Also, he helped the Raiders (5-7) dig out of a hole. After a 2-7 start, they have won three consecutive games. They lead the Rams 13-3.
