Watch: Denver ABC affiliate apologizes for airing Broncos-Colts game

Thursday's NFL game between the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts was so bad, that the sports department at Denver's ABC affiliate felt the need to apologize for airing the game and subjecting fans to more than three hours of awful football.

Their exact words: "It burned the retinas."

That is Lionel Bienvenu, Nick Rothschild, and Troy Renck absolutely shredding the game and the performance of the Broncos and new quarterback Russell Wilson in their 12-9 overtime loss to the Colts.

Renck had perhaps the harshest criticism of the Broncos' performance, comparing it to their ugly win against Houston a couple of weeks ago and calling Wilson's late mistakes "two of the most facepalm throws he’s made in recent years."

It went on like that for several minutes.

The Broncos are now 2-3 on the season after the loss, averaging just 15 points per game, while Wilson looks like a shell of his former self and head coach Nathaniel Hackett looks to be in completely over his head. There is nothing positive with this team or its short-term (or long-term) outlook. Even the local media can not find anything positive here.
