Gotta see it: Makar Visits Boomtown, Wins Hardest Shot Competition
John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

We know Cale Makar can shoot the puck, but we don’t often see him wind up for some massive slappers. He typically opts for the more accurate wrister through traffic, as he has a better chance of picking his spot.

After Friday, folks may be clamoring for more bombs from the point.

Makar won the Hardest Shot competition during Friday night’s skills competition, as his first shot clocked in at 102.56 MPH. His second shot wasn’t exactly weak either, as it clocked in at just over 101 MPH. J.T. Miller got close, but wasn’t able to surpass the number that the Colorado Avalanche star was able to produce.

Take a look at the absolute rocket Makar put on net to win the competition.

After a few events, the defenseman leads everyone with 11 points, and could be in line to win the $1 million prize. He might not be able to hide that money from Bowen Byram.
