Patric Hornqvist tosses Penguins equipment out on driveway

Someone is very unhappy with the Penguins trading him to the Florida Panthers. Patric Hornqvist appears to have tossed out his Penguins gear and left it either out to dry or out to rot. You decide.

Hornqvist unhappy with the deal

There are reports that Hornqvist learned of the trade through the media and that made him and some of his teammates upset. The veteran basically told reporters he felt blindsided by the deal, so it wouldn’t surprise that he just chucked his equipment to curb.

“This came up and blindsided me because I had a no-move clause,” Hornqvist said Friday, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Matt Vensel. “But then I find out that Pittsburgh didn’t want me and Florida really wants me, and it was an easy choice for me and my family. I’m super excited to go down there and help them win some games.”
