Rangers, Barclay Goodrow agree to six-year, $21.85 million deal

Barclay Goodrow officially signed a six-year, $21.85 million deal with the New York Rangers, according to Frank Seravalli.

The two-time Stanley Cup champion's signing rights were traded to New York from the Tampa Bay Lightning before the roster freeze ahead of the expansion draft.

Goodrow played 55 games for the Lightning this past season, scoring five goals and notching 14 assists. He added two goals and four assists in 18 playoff games. 

The 28-year-old is coming off a two-year, $1.85 million contract he signed with the San Jose Sharks in 2018. He was acquired by the Lightning via trade during the 2019-20 season. 

Goodrow has 32 goals and 61 assists in 331 career games. He also has five goals and nine assists in 65 playoff games. 

The Ontario native will remain on Broadway for the foreseeable future, alongside Artemi Panarin, Adam Fox and Alexis Lafreniere.
