Jeremy Roenick gives John Scott 'motivator' ahead of ASG

Jeremy Roenick isn't one to mince words, and he was pretty open about how "terrible" he found it that John Scott planned to attend the NHL All-Star Game after the fan voting gone awry earned the bruiser an invite.

But the player-turned-analyst appears to at least be giving Scott a bit of "incentive," as SportsNet called it, ahead of the big event.

The All-Star fete includes the Skills Competition Accuracy Challenge, in which only four players in history — including Roenick in 2004 — have achieved a perfect score. So one hockey fan, @zackgoody16, took to Twitter to ask JR the following question:

"@Jeremy_Roenick if John Scott can beat your record for accuracy in All Star skills challenge will you donate 10K to a charity of his choice?"

To which Roenick replied just a minute later:

"Absolutely."

Now, judging by Roenick's open disapproval of Scott's attendance, the tweet could potentially mean: "Sure, because I don't think he'll notch a 4-out-of-4 in the skills test anyways." But it could also be a good motivator for Scott, who is known for more accuracy during fisticuffs than he is with handling the puck.

The 2016 NHL All-Star Game festivities take place Jan. 30-31 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
