WATCH: Leafs, Coyotes notch three goals in a 21-second span

Scoring two goals in less than a minute is one of those rare treats that hockey has to offer. Three goals in less than a minute? There's a better chance of catching a lunar eclipse than seeing three markers scored so close together.

But such was the case for Arizona Coyotes fans on the Tuesday night, who got to witness three goals scored in a whopping 21 seconds.

James van Riemsdyk gave the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs a 1-0 lead with a power play goal at 15:09 in the first frame. But Arizona captain Shane Doan didn't let the lead last, grabbing the puck off the boards on the very next shift and backhanding it past Leafs' goaltender Jonathan Bernier.

Knotting the tilt up 1-1 within seven seconds was impressive enough. At least, until the very next shift when Doan got the puck again and shoveled in his own rebound to give the Coyotes a 2-1 lead just 14 seconds after he initially put them on the board.

Arizona went on to win the final game before the Christmas break 3-2.
