Carl Soderberg, a towering center who appeared in 597 career NHL games over parts of nine seasons, officially announced his retirement on Thursday.
Swedish forward Carl Söderberg, who played in nearly 600 NHL games, has made the decision to end his playing career at the age of 37.
Carl Soderberg’s time in the NHL has come to an end. Rather than take another run at the free agent market next month, the veteran has decided to head back home as Malmo of the SHL announced that they’ve signed Soderberg to a two-year contract.
With Patrick Kane still providing MVP-level play, there’s no way Chicago will strip it down to the bolts.
