Mia Hamm is arguably the best U.S. women's soccer player of all time. As such, it should come as no surprise that her memorabilia is highly sought after.
According to Front Office Sports, a 1992 Sports Illustrated for Kids Hamm rookie card sold for $34,440 at Goldin Auctions, setting the all-time record price for any women's sports card.

Hamm anchored the U.S. Women's National Team from 1987-2004, winning two Olympic gold medals and two FIFA Women's World Cup titles.
She held the record for the most international goals scored by a woman or man until 2013. The 49-year-old is now in third place behind former teammate Abby Wambach (184) and Canadian superstar Christine Sinclair (186) with 158 goals.
Hamm was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame and was the first woman inducted into the World Football Hall of Fame.
