Report claims 27-year-old versatile ace won’t be at Tottenham next season
Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Giovani Lo Celso is expected to leave the club at the end of the season.

A report from Football Insider claims that the Argentine international won’t be at the club next year and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Lo Celso has been linked with a move away from Tottenham in the past as well. He has struggled for regular game time at the north London club and he needs to move on in search of regular playing time.

A fresh start at this stage of his career would be ideal for him. The South American midfielder is certainly good enough to play regularly at a high level, but he’s unlikely to get opportunities at Tottenham. The Premier League side already have James Maddison at their disposal and the England international plays in a similar role to that of the Argentine.

Lo Celso needs to leave Tottenham

The 27-year-old needs to join a club where he will play every week. He is versatile enough to operate as the centre attacking midfielder as well as a winger. He will add goals and creativity in the final third. There is no doubt that he could prove to be a quality acquisition for most clubs. He has proven his quality in Spain and he has been linked with a return to La Liga in recent months.

The versatile midfielder is very much at the peak of his powers and he cannot afford to sit on the bench every week. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can find a suitable destination for him. They should look to cash in on the player and invest in a replacement who will be more useful for them.
