If Manchester City are to win a fourth consecutive Premier League title and defend the treble they won last season, they are going to have to do it the hard way. With the updated fixture list , Pep Guardiola’s side now have an even more crowded fixture list as they battle it out on three fronts.

The Premier League has confirmed two changes to Manchester City’s fixture list for April. Their upcoming trips to face Brighton and Nottingham Forest have been rescheduled and could potentially be rescheduled again if Pep Guardiola’s side progress to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

As it stands currently, City’s trip to the Amex Stadium is scheduled for the 25th of April. It could potentially be moved to the 24th of April if City are scheduled to play in the semi-finals of the Champions League on Tuesday the 30th of April. The champions’ trip to face Nottingham Forest is also under similar conditions. It is currently scheduled for Sunday the 28th of April. It could be moved to Saturday the 27th of April if City plays a Champions League semi-final on the 30th of April.

If Manchester City are to create history, they will have to do it the hard way. They are chasing success on three fronts this campaign, and it has resulted in a packed fixture list. It is a challenge they have overcome before, and they will have to again to repeat last season’s heroics.

The challenge is there for Manchester City. It will take a Herculean effort if they are to take their place in history this season. Nothing worth winning ever comes easy, and Pep Guardiola’s side will face that battle as the business end of the season begins next weekend at home against Arsenal.
