Report: Sue Bird re-signing with Seattle Storm

At 40-years-old, Sue Bird can be considered the Tom Brady of the WNBA, and she isn't ready to end her legendary career just yet.

According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, Bird has agreed to re-sign with the reigning champion Seattle Storm. She has spent her entire career with the franchise.

Bird was drafted by the Storm first overall in 2002. She has helped the team win four WNBA championships. She also has won four Olympic gold medals and two NCAA championships at UConn.

The future Hall of Famer has averaged 12.1 points, 5.6 assists, and 1.3 steals per game over her 17-year career. Her 519 career games played and 2,888 assists are WNBA records.

WNBA free agency opened on Jan. 15 and teams can officially begin signing players on Monday.
