Bobby Lashley thinks he's still capable of becoming a world champion and is confident it will happen.

Lashley spoke with WrestlingNews.co in light of WWE Tribute To The Troops airing as a SmackDown special this week. Lashley is a military veteran and now a longtime experienced veteran of the ring.

Lashley initially had a memorable first run with WWE, but his second run is main-event quality, including a significant run with the WWE Championship. Although a heel during his WWE Title run, Lashley made plenty of waves as apart of The Hurt Business. Much to the fans' chagrin, the faction was uncerimoniously broken up, but it helped to re-establish Lashley as a main event

Now Lashley is a heel who has aligned himself with Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins of The Street Profits, but hasn't held a title since his significant run with the United States Championship. Lashley ultimately lost it to Seth Rollins over a year ago on WWE Raw.

At the age of 47, Lashley believes he's 100% ready for another run with a WWE Title.

"I'd like another world title run. I'm in great shape, I will work my a** off. I'm building a team. I work with other people having good matches when I have an opportunity to have matches. But um, I think that I should and could have another good title run."

Since he currently resides on SmackDown, the one at the moment he'd be most eligble for is the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship, which is currently held by Roman Reigns.
