Dewey Foley, the son of pro wrestling legend Mick Foley, is no longer with WWE.

PWInsider reported on Wednesday that Dewey recently departed WWE, with one source saying that the departure happened in late April. Dewey was part of the NXT creative team and was formerly the lead writer of 205 Live.

The report states that Dewey chose to leave WWE on his own and it wasn't a case of him being released.

Dewey was hired by WWE in 2015 and began working as a writer's assistant in January 2016.

Dewey also appeared on the WWE Network reality series "Holy Foley" in 2016-2017.

In a tweet confirming PWInsider's report, Dewey called working in NXT "the most rewarding and gratifying time" he had with WWE.

"I put my freaking heart into NXT/the PC," Dewey wrote. "I learned so much about myself there. Definitely the most rewarding and gratifying time I had there!"
