Elon Musk is picking up what Christian Cage is putting down.

Musk is grabbing headlines once again in response to his comments directed at advertisers leaving Twitter/X in response to him boosting an allegedly antisemitic post. Musk was interviewed for the New York Times’ DealBook Summit, and he told advertisers leaving the social app to go f*ck themselves, adding a shoutout to Disney boss Bob Iger.

“If someone is going to try and blackmail me with advertising, blackmail me with money — go f*ck yourself,” Elon Musk said. “Go f*ck yourself. Is that clear? I hope it is. Hey Bob, if you’re in the audience. That’s how I feel, don’t advertise.”

Iger also took part in the DealBook Summit and explained Disney’s position to pull ads from the app by claiming being associated with Musk was not a positive thing for them.

In the same interview, Elon Musk spoke about the post in question and said responding to it was a mistake. He added that he should have perhaps explained himself in greater detail. He then blamed the media for ignoring his clarifications on the matter.

“…essentially I handed a loaded gun to those who hate me and arguably to those who are antisemitic,” Musk said. “And for that I’m quite sorry, that was not my intention.”

Musk declared he was going with “WWE as my fighting style” in anticipation of his rumored fight against Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg. It’s possible that Musk saw Christian Cage’s October promo on Adam Copeland. Maybe he decided to pay homage to the TNT Champion. Maybe we’ll see him wearing a black turtleneck next?
