Dolph Ziggler will get the opportunity to show off his authentic self soon, the two-time former WWE World Heavyweight Champion has claimed.

Ziggler was one of several names from WWE released last month and was the biggest name to be cut from the promotion. Ziggler's release marks the end of his 19 years under contract with the company. Originally debuting on WWE TV as the 'caddy' of Kerwin White/Chavo Guerrero, Ziggler was reintroduced in 2006 as Nicky of the Spirit Squad before being re-reintroduced in 2008 as Dolph Ziggler.

Ziggler's Authentic Self

After close to two decades as part of the WWE brand, many are interested in seeing what's next for the former World Champion. Appearing as a guest on CHUM 1050 Canada, Ziggler spoke about what's next in his wrestling career.

"For the first time in my wrestling career, I will finally be able to be my true authentic self and that’s wild man. That drives me harder than I ever could have imagined.

"Everyone will finally see me, the real me real soon, and I’m going to show the world."

Whatever Ziggler has planned, it will have to wait until his non-compete clause expires. For talent with main-roster contracts (such as Dolph), they will have to wait 90 days and will be free to appear and compete outside of WWE on December 20. For talent cut from NXT, their 30-day non-compete clauses will expire on October 21.
