Goldberg says he's signed with WWE through 2023 with two matches per year

It appears WWE living legend Bill Goldberg still has at least a handful of in-ring appearances left in the tank.

As Josh Nason of the Wrestling Observer mentioned on Tuesday, the former World Championship Wrestling world champion and former WWE Universal Champion spoke about the details of his relationship with the promotion during a late-July appearance on "The Pop Culture Show" podcast that failed to generate headlines until now.

During the segment, the 53-year-old unveiled that he is signed with WWE through 2023 on a contract that includes two matches per year.

Fans should not, however, expect to see Goldberg back in the squared circle anytime soon as the WWE continues to produce fresh content behind closed doors and without fans in attendance due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Goldberg defeated "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship at February's Super Showdown event held in Saudi Arabia and then dropped the belt to Braun Strowman at WrestleMania. Thus, he has already met his match obligations for 2020.

Besides, WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon may wish to keep the master of the "Jackhammer" out of any storylines until some percentage of spectators can return to arenas for live shows.
