Gunther has reached a new milestone in his impressive reign as the WWE Intercontinental Champion.

On the June 10, 2022, episode of WWE SmackDown, Gunther defeated Kofi Kingston to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship. He has reigned supreme ever since, first on SmackDown and later on RAW when he was drafted by the red brand. On January 31, 2024, Gunther’s reign reached 600 days. He previously broke the Honky Tonk Man’s record for the longest reign with the title, which had been 454 days.

“The Ring General” has defended the gold against numerous stars, including The Miz, Chad Gable, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, and more. Most recently, Gunther defended the title against Kofi Kingston on the January 29 episode of WWE RAW.
