MJF may be one of AEW's most prominently featured stars, but you may not notice him in the upcoming Iron Claw biopic.

The Iron Claw delves into the lives and numerous tragedies of the Von Erich wrestling family. The wrestling lineage began with Fritz Von Erich (real name Jack Adkisson,) and his sons would also find success in the squared circle. The Von Erichs are still a force in wrestling today with Marshall & Ross Von Erich competing to this day.

MJF And The Iron Claw

For MJF, The Iron Claw will mark his acting debut, and much has been made about his role as Lance Von Erich. While this will be MJF's biggest media move outside of wrestling to date, fans may not even notice him in the film. Movie critic and wrestling fan Siddhant Adlahka attended the recent premiere of The Iron Claw and revealed on Twitter that MJF is barely featured in the film.

While fans expected to see more of MJF in The Iron Claw, it was unlikely he would receive a ton of screen time. The AEW World Champion plays Lance Von Erich, a kayfabe relation of the Von Erich family.

A Major Omission

Lance Von Erich may only have a brief cameo in The Iron Claw but that's much more than genuine family member Chris Von Erich. In a follow-up tweet, Adlahka noted that the film skips over Chris, who was the brother of Kerry, Kevin, Mike, and David. Chris, the smallest of the brothers, struggled to make much headway as a wrestler. After disclosing his suicidal tendencies to Kevin before promising he would not harm himself, Chris took his own life with a gunshot to the head on September 12, 1991.
