Jeff Hardy Suffers Scary Injury During AEW Rampage Taping
Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Last night, AEW taped Rampage after Dynamite in Cedar Park, Texas at the H-E-B Center. Jeff Hardy faced Sammy Guevara, and a number of fan videos have surfaced that seemingly show Hardy suffered a scary injury during the match.

Jeff Hardy Injury Update

During the bout, Guevara launched a Shooting Star Press from the top rope. While Jeff got his knees up in time, Sammy’s leg accidentally crashed into Hardy’s head.

Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Radio talked about this during a recent show, noting it was “pretty nasty”. He adds that he hasn’t heard anything about the severity of it, but it “looked bad”.

Meltzer goes on to say that fans have seen these types of hits before, and Sammy’s knee landed right on his opponent’s temple. Dave says that Jeff was knocked “pretty silly”, but he doesn’t know how bad his injury is, as of yet.

This was the fifth match Jeff has had since 2024 hit. He was immediately looked at by a referee.

Some reports state that Jeff was disoriented and bleeding from his mouth when he tried to get on his feet. Unfortunately, Sammy has received some negative comments from fans since news broke on social media, noting that he might be an “unsafe” worker.

This isn’t the first time Sammy has faced harsh criticism like this from fans. The former AEW TNT Champion also dealt with social media backlash during his feud with Matt Hardy.
