Fans have been wondering whether Kenny Omega will get surgery following him being diagnosed with diverticulitis.

Moment

At the time of the diagnosis, he had been paired with Chris Jericho on AEW television, and they were building to a match against Ricky Starks and Big Bill at the Worlds End pay-per-view event. Jericho has since been paired with HOOk on television.

The top star could’ve got a blood infection if he wasn’t diagnosed at the time he was, which would have something like a 50 percent chance of death. He was last seen on the Dynamite episode on December 13.

Latest

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that there’s no real update on Omega because “a decision still hasn’t been made if he will undergo surgery for his diverticulitis.”

If he gets the surgery, it will be a few months after the operation before he can return to in-ring action.

We wish Omega a speedy recovery.
