Mr. Kennedy does not blame anyone else for getting released from WWE anymore.

The former WWE star was one of the most promising prospects of the Ruthless Aggression Era. He captivated audiences with his promo skills. His skills on the mic impressed the WWE top brass as well. This resulted in some early success for the wrestling star in the company including a US title run and winning the 2007 Money In The Bank.

However, injuries and some other issues halted the momentum of the young star leading to him losing his guaranteed contract for a world title shot to Edge. He never fully recovered from this ordeal. Mr Kennedy was later released from his WWE contract in May 2009. In an interview afterward, the wrestling star revealed that the release came after some top WWE stars including Randy Orton complained to Vince McMahon about his recklessness in the ring.

The wrestling veteran recently appeared on the Attitude Era podcast. Among other things he also talked about the abrupt end of his WWE career. Mr. Kennedy mentioned how losing your dream job sucks but explained why he doesn't blame anyone else for it anymore:

"I'll say this. It would be easy for me to [blame others] and then, for a really long time I had a chip on my shoulder. Getting fired from your dream job sucks, right and getting fired publicly where everybody's then reporting on it and speculating and stuff like that. It sucks. For a long time, I sort of blamed other people.

I think that at the end of the day, I put myself in a position where those people...I don't even know what I am saying anybody did, but had I not been an asshole and had I done my job exactly the way that I should have done my job entirely, 100%, all the time, those guys, speaking ill of me to the boss wouldn't have done anything. So I blame myself."

Mr Kennedy would later join Impact Wrestling in January 2010. He was billed as a top star in the company and won the TNA World Title a couple of times during his run. He failed to reach the popularity level of WWE in the company however and was fired from the promotion in March 2016 after failing a drug test.
