LA Knight's rise in popularity has put a lot of eyes on him. With the fame has also come comparisons with stars from the past. The SmackDown star has been compared with names such as Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock. There is one name in this list however, who has actually worked with Knight and that is Mr Kennedy.

The former WWE star, real name Ken Anderson recently had an interview with A2theK Wrestling Show. During the interview, Kennedy was asked about working with the 40-year-old during his time in NWA. Knight was known as Eli Drake at the time and according to Anderson, he was already very good on the mic:

"I remember at the time when I was working with him, thinking nobody can touch this guy on mic. He's just..He doesn't have to have a script either. Doesn't need a script, he can just pick up a microphone and go. He's very thoughtful. He takes it very, very seriously. He's a hard worker. And they always say [if] you work super hard; you will be rewarded."

Mr Kennedy Tells Story About LA Knight

Mr Kennedy also told a short story highlighting the dedication of LA Knight. He remembered the time when his wife brought some food to an NWA taping. The current WWE star made sure that it fitted into his diet before accepting the invitation to eat:

"I remember one time my wife cooked up a bunch of food and brought it to a NWA taping. It was like chicken breasts and steaks and vegetables and some rice or something like that, right? She offered him like, 'Would you like some chicken breasts.'

And I remember seeing him do the math in his head, 'Can I have these calories?' It was chicken breasts.... He was very, very strict on his diet, his intake and stuff and obviously it shows in his [physique], the way that he looks. He's where he needs to be, and I think he'll go further."
