Sammy Guevara detailed suffering a concussion at AEW WrestleDream during a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet

Guevara hasn't wrestled since the October 1 pay-per-view in Seattle. He told CVV he was concussed during the match when his head hit the mat after a cutter.

Guevara said:

I'm cleared, I'm good. That was crazy. You know, I do the cutter so much and then the stupidest things. Oh, this cutter that I do all the time this time just bumped my head on the canvas, and then saw the future. And if you go back there, you can tell like, okay, maybe he's not good. But I didn't know at that time. I actually thought that they had a match booked for me that Wednesday, I thought it was good. And then it was until like, a couple days later. I was like really feeling it. And then Tay contacted the doctor. [Are you dizzy?] No. Just like the lights are bothering me. [Are you throwing up?] No, no, thankfully, it wasn't like that. But I had a headache and stuff and it was like the lights were bothering me. Like bright lights. Like my future is bright. But yeah, then they obviously took me off and let me chill and send me to some people to see. But yeah, that was like probably the longest I've been out of wrestling so far, it's been since October 1.

Guevara returned to AEW programming on Dynamite this week. After having turned on Chris Jericho in September, the two reunited on last night's show and are now scheduled to team together on Saturday at Worlds End. It will be Guevara, Jericho, Darby Allin and Sting against Konsouke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, and Ricky Starks & Big Bill.

Jericho and Guevara have been linked together for almost their entire AEW tenures. Guevara spent some time discussing Jericho during the interview with CVV as well.

Guevara said:

I feel like maybe because it's Jericho and it's me and the internet likes to pick us as the guys to like, hate or whatever. And I'll say this about Chris, I feel like he gets a target on his back just because he's doing it at such a high level for such a long time. And it's like, sometimes easy to look at a guy and be like, he's the reason my favourites are not doing this or whatever. But in reality, it's like, this guy doesn't need to do this anymore. He does it because he likes it or loves it. And, you know, the fact that he's still doing it 33 years, like you're saying is a testament to him, because the motivation to keep going and doing this is hard. And you know, I'm 13 years in this now. And sometimes I struggle with motivation every now and then it's like, man, to think of like, all the things I got to do to get to where I want to go, it's a lot of work.
