A top WWE star has no plans to leave the company anytime soon.

Fightful first reported that Cody Rhodes was offered a new WWE deal but had yet to sign it. Dave Meltzer later reported that Rhodes signed his deal in October 2023.

During an interview with Justin Walker of 8 News Now in Las Vegas, Rhodes said that he has indeed signed a new deal and that it goes beyond his 40th birthday. He did not say how long the new deal is for but he is 38 so he's locked in for at least 2 years, if not more.

Rhodes has said in the past that he saw himself ending his in-ring career when he turned 40 but his stance on that has changed. Rhodes said that whenever he retires, he will make sure that he plans on it not being a painful process because he saw his father Dusty Rhodes still wrestling in his older years.

On Saturday, Rhodes will team with Seth Rollins against The Rock and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, Night 1. If his team wins, then Rhodes will wrestle Reigns for the Undisputed Universal Championship on Night 2 without Bloodline interference. However, if Rhodes and Rollins lose then the Rhodes vs. Reigns match will be "Bloodline Rules."
