WWE is undergoing significant changes under the TKO Group Holdings umbrella. We now have a partnership with All Japan Pro Wrestling. As part of this collaboration, a current NXT talent is set to travel to Japan for a significant match in 2024.
AJPW has been teasing a mysterious challenger, referred to as them as an 'Assassin,' for the AJPW Triple Crown Championship. This challenger is slated to face the winner of the upcoming match between Katsuhiko Nakajima and Kento Miyahara on January 3rd.

William Regal appeared in a video where he spoke about his own career in Japan, highlighting some of the great names he worked with over the years. He then stated that a new generation of talent is going to bring that British excellence to Japan.
William Regal then announced that Charlie Dempsey, his son, is making the journey from NXT to AJPW. Regal also made mention of the fact that this is the first time he's publicly acknowledging that Dempsey is his son, so he picked a great time to confirm that news.

Charlie Dempsey came up to NXT by way of NXT UK. He eventually carved out a spot in NXT as a member of the No Quarter Catch Crew alongside Drew Gulak, Myles Borne, and Damon Kemp. Odds are, they will be rooting him on in a big way as Dempsey makes that trip to Japan for an amazing opportunity.
